Europe's sustainable energy transition depends on strong implementation at regional level. In this context, regional clusters and hydrogen valleys play an important role. They bring together: industry, research organisations, public authorities and infrastructure actors.
This webinar highlights how regional cooperation models can support Europe's sustainability goals by fostering innovation, strengthening value chains and enabling the market uptake of hydrogen-based solutions. The session brings representatives from HEAVENN, Hy2Market, ELEVATEcee and HI2, and will provide insights into how different regional initiatives contribute to decarbonisation, resilience and sustainable economic development, while identifying lessons that can support replication and collaboration across Europe.

Distribution grids play a critical role in enabling the energy transition by ensuring that hydrogen can reach end users across all sectors and regions. Research from the Ready4H2 initiative shows local distribution networks are indispensable for connecting industry, transport and buildings. Converting existing gas grids is both technically feasible and cost-efficient, offering a practical pathway to scale hydrogen delivery while leveraging existing infrastructure.
This webinar brings together leading European gas distribution operators, research initiatives and technical experts involved in the Ready4H2 network, showcasing projects and latest findings on hydrogen distribution in Europe. The session will explore how distribution grids can deliver hydrogen safely, efficiently and at scale to industry and buildings, the importance of certification for hydrogen blending and the development of specialised training centres to support new skills development. The webinar will provide insights into practical challenges, lessons learned and the remaining steps needed to move from pilot projects to large-scale deployment of hydrogen distribution infrastructure.

The final webinar will explore how liquid hydrogen (LH2) can support the transition towards a more sustainable and climate-neutral transport system, particularly in sectors with high energy demands and intensive operational requirements. While different clean mobility solutions are emerging across the transport sector, applications such as heavy-duty road transport, maritime operations, and aviation require energy carriers with high energy density and operational flexibility - areas where liquid hydrogen is increasingly emerging as a promising solution.
By bringing together representatives from the NavHyS, DelHyVEHR and VHyTTA project, this webinar showcases how liquid hydrogen technologies and infrastructure contribute to the reduction of emissions across land, air, and sea transport sectors - advancing a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
