The Ready4H2 project is a consortium of over 60 gas distribution system operators (DSO) and 7 related national associations across 10 countries in Europe. The project aim is to combine the expertise of its members to transform their grids to delivering hydrogen, to:

  • Create a common understanding of the value of DSO in the hydrogen value chain.

  • Share knowledge to help DSOs learn from each other and transition quicker to hydrogen.

  • Demonstrate to policy makers and other stakeholders the role of gas DSOs in the energy transition in Europe.

Project activities are carried out under 3 pillars: knowledge sharing, communications and research.

Close liaison is kept with our 7 partner associations (Hydrogen Europe, ERIG, EUROGAS, GD4S, GEODE, GERG and MARCOGAZ), with whom the project has MOUs. The project is administered by the European Research Institute for Gas and Energy Innovation (ERIG), with whom we share office space in Brussels.
