Naftogaz Group Joins the Ready4H2 Project

Ready4H2 is pleased to announce that the Naftogaz Group has joined the project, representing the DSOs in Ukraine. This expands the Ready4H2 community to ten countries.  

Ready4H2 Director, Barbara Jinks, welcomed Naftogaz to the project: “Ukraine has tremendous potential to produce green gases. The government has recently drafted a National Hydrogen Strategy and Naftogaz is looking to develop its gas grids to be able to transport hydrogen. We are keen to share our knowledge and, in turn, benefit from Naftogaz’s perspectives and the diversity they bring”.  
 
Sergiy Minin, board member and technical director of Naftogaz, stated: “As the national operator of the gas distribution networks of Ukraine operating more than 200,000 km of pipelines and serving more than 9M connected customers,  we are delighted to join Ready4H2 project to contribute, learn and help develop the knowledge around the potential of hydrogen transportation in gas distribution pipelines, in Ukraine and also cross-border in Europe. We are confident that the gas distribution systems will play a key role in delivering hydrogen to the final consumers, and we would like to be part of this ecosystem from the beginning”.
