Ready4H2 played a key part in the Flame Conference in Amsterdam last week, with project director Barbara Jinks speaking and moderating. She provided an overview of the key role of distribution grids in the energy transition as the cornerstone of green gas delivery and as the vital link between gas supplies and the final customer, and guided a discussion with other panellists from GD4S, ELCOM in Switzerland and Kibar Enerji in Turkey on how to “connect the dots” for efficient energy supply across Europe.
In these discussions, as in the rest of the conference, importance was given to the softer side of the energy dilemma; collaboration between countries and energy sectors, diversity of energy supply to suit different end uses, and the need for technical neutrality in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
