The Ready4H2 project commenced its 5th phase of activities last week on 1st of March. Barbara Jinks was reappointed as the Director and thanked for her significant work leading the project over the last 2 years, and ERIG was reappointed as project Administrator for a 2nd year, the contract for which was signed by Secretary General Hans Rasmussen during the recent plenary meeting.
The project has grand plans for 2026, including increased advocacy together with its partners and supporters on the role of gas DSOs as drivers of regional growth, the impact of transposing the gas package, and demonstrating the part that gas DSOs play in grid stability and peak demand. Webinars for members will continue to share deep dives into current topics such as hydrogen quality and multi-fuel meters/boilers, as well as a series of presentations on the status of hydrogen developments in countries across Europe and the key challenges facing DSOs. Core activities of comms, advocacy and information sharing between members will continue, as well as site visits to hydrogen conversion/expansion projects.
