Ready4H2 was on a panel at the Wood Mackenzie Hydrogen Conference 2025 in London last week, representing the gas infrastructure in a discussion on the hydrogen-readiness of gas pipelines in delivering decarbonised energy and assisting EU overcome the challenges of ramping up hydrogen. Barbara Jinks, Ready4H2 director, spoke alongside senior reps from RWE Generation, LBC Tanks Terminals, North Sea Transition Authority and National Gas Transmission (UK). She stated; “It was my pleasure to assist the discussion on the key role that pipelines play in the hydrogen supply chain and share some of the results of Ready4H2’s research, that show that distribution grids will be needed to deliver at least half the hydrogen demand in all sectors and will facilitate faster, cheaper and more system-efficient methods of delivering decarbonised gases to the end user.
